The ripples from the Moncton tragedy will reverberate among us for a long time to come

Michel Page

I heard the news today Mike Pagé took his own life Thursday night. He was the former NCO IC of the district that surrounds Codiac RCMP. He suffered from PTSD and was medically discharged some years back. One of his main concerns was lack of man power and officer safety. As I understand he attended the funeral and then became despondent. The ripples from the Moncton tragedy will reverberate among us for a long time to come. I am at a loss for words as the mood here among retired and serving members is not good. The rumblings of discontent and anger towards those in charge are growing, as is the deafening silence.
