On August 9, Canada marks National Peacekeepers’ Day – a day to honour and remember all past and present Canadian peacekeepers. This year, the date holds a special significance for Canadian police peacekeepers, as it marks 25 years of their contributions to international peace operations.
National Peacekeepers’ Day also serves as an opportunity to recognize the support and dedication provided by the Families of deployed RCMP members. Those who were away from their loved ones for extended periods of time and especially those RCMP Families who loved ones came home with both visible and invisible injuries.
Thank you all for your service to Canada
