Janet “Faces of PTSD”

Janet, I was diagnosed with PTSD in July 2012. I was in a very dark place after my brother took his life and my 23 year career as a Telecoms Operator came crashing down around me. I knew I needed to seek help as I sunk into a very dark place. I started treatment in Feb 2013 at the O.S.I. clinic and am coming near to the end of my treatment. The staff of the O.S.I. clinic literally saved my life. As you can tell from the photo I have learned to laugh again and be the fun loving person I once was and wanted back so desperately. It was a struggle and I can now be very open about seeking help to overcome this silent illness. I am very proud of my fight and don’t really know to this day where the strength came from. I am just grateful that it happened. My heart is full when reading the stories of the strength of so many people on this site that too have fought hard to live in happiness once again. God speed to you all.
